MICHAEL Wild and Reece Kershaw will clash in the quarter-finals of the Manchester Snooker Open at the Moor Club, Heaton Moor, Stockport, tonight (7.30pm).
The two Oldham potting machines have fought their way to this stage of an ultra-competitive event thanks to some fine matchplay and excellent break-building.
Competition spokesman Rob Spencer said: “The last eight is of extremely high quality, with seven of the top amateurs in the Manchester area left in along with Craig Steadman, who is on the professional tour.
“Entry tonight is free and there is a hot-pot supper for spectators, who will be able to see all four quarter-finals wherever they are sat in the club.”
The semi-finals will be held at Riley’s Snooker Centre, Belle Vue, two weeks tonight, with the finals at the same venue a further fortnight later.
