WEIGHTLIFTING: MARK Judge and John Turner reigned supreme at the British Bench Press Championships.
The Oldham duo of Viking Fitness, Lees, competed in Ashington, Northumbria, where multiple winner Judge won the under-83 kilos Masters Two (over-50s) section after equalling his personal best, while Turner bagged the under-65s kilos title after lifting twice his body weight.
“They are both a credit to the gym and the sport,” said Viking Fitness owner Wayne Carter.
“They work really hard and their efforts have paid off.”
