RUGBY:
CARL Sneyd was in incredible form for Waterhead in their National Conference League Division One fixture at home to Millom.
The centre scored 32 of his side’s points in a 40-18 victory. Sneyd ran in five of Waterhead’s seven tries and kicked six goals.
Waterhead were always in command, turning round at the break 24-6 in front.
AN experienced Saddleworth Rangers side lost 28-16 at Dewsbury Celtic to remain in mid-table in National Conference League Division One.
Rangers started the game well and held a 10-6 lead after half-an-hour thanks to tries from winger Danny Bowker and centre Mark Brocklehurst.
Stand-off Michael Coates converted one of those, in response to Dewsbury’s points via Danny Crabtree's try and Nikki Crabtree's goal.
But that was the last joy the visitors to Leeds Road had until the final minute when James Whalley crossed and Coates added the conversion.
Tries from Josh Thorneycroft and Anthony Dunford before the break helped the hosts to a 16-10 advantage.
Pat Foulstone and Jason Muranka then pushed Celtic to 28-10 ahead before Whalley's late consolation.
