OLDHAM Netball Club's Premier squad got the better of Hucclecote 54-40 on Sunday.
Oldham started patiently, making use of their own possession through the whole court and forcing mistakes from the opposition.
The developing partnership between shooters Krista Enziano and Kathryn Turner was in full force and Oldham finished the first quarter 15-8 up.
The second quarter saw coach Debbie Hallas stick with her starting line-up and demand more of the same, and by the half-time interval Oldham had built a solid lead, 30-15.
Oldham lost the third quarter 9-13 but still finished the period 39-28.
Possession switched between the teams cheaply in the last quarter, but the home team was the more clinical, finishing 15-12.
Coach Hallas said: “This could have been a tough fixture with us missing several players, while Hucclecote are fighting to stay out of the relegation play-offs.”
Oldham’s final fixture of the season is on Sunday against Team Bath, where they hope to secure their unbeaten record for the season.
