MOSSLEY player-boss Steve Halford was frustrated after his side returned from their Evo-Stik League Division One North clash at Burscough with just a point after a goalless draw.
Missed chances proved costly – as did a couple of questionable refereeing decisions.. The Lilywhites remain fifth in the table with four games still to play in the race for the play-offs.
Play-off rivals New Mills and Cammell Laird drew with one another on Saturday and Curzon Ashton lost, but Ramsbottom, Trafford and Clitheroe all won.
Halford said: “We missed a couple of great chances.
“We definitely did enough to have won.
“We saw a header that looked clearly over the line not given, then in the second half Chris Denham was fouled five yards inside the box and the referee gives us a free-kick just outside it.
“I just hope we don’t go on to rue our missed chances.
The team is back in action tomorrow against mid-table Farsley (7.45pm).
IN the Vodkat North-West Counties League First Division there was also a degree of frustration for CHADDERTON who drew 0-0 at rock-bottom Holker Old Boys.
OLDHAM Boro were without a game on Saturday.
