OLDHAM darts team star Mark McGeeney was a shining light for England as they won a Tri-Nations showdown against Scotland and Wales in Fife.
In his first game, McGeeney had a 150 check-out in a 3-1 victory over Tony Bradley of Wales. He averaged 79.35 for every three darts thrown.
But it was against Scotland that McGeeney really showed what he could do.
Taking on Gary Stone in what turned out to be a classic encounter, McGeeney produced a man-of-the-match performance to win 3-2 with a stunning average of 102.75.
England won both their men’s matches and made it a clean sweep of victories thanks to the exploits of the women’s, boys’ and girls teams.
