PERENNIAL rivals for the title and Tanner Cup, Bamford Fieldhouse and Heyside, get an early look at each other in the Versasteel Saddleworth and District Cricket League tomorrow (1.45pm).
The pair meet at Hollin Lane for the second round of fixtures in this season’s competition.
Frustrated by a slippery run-up at Saddleworth on the opening day, Bamford will hope underfoot conditions are more suitable for the visit of Ben Holt’s side, who secured victory against Droylsden on the same afternoon with the help of the Weather Time system.
Moorside were in the process of rattling up a good score against Glodwick last Sunday when the rain arrived so won’t be short of confidence heading to Shaw.
But they will also discover the hosts in good heart after Mark Ingham’s men scored 242 in the rain-affected draw at Micklehurst.
