Lilywhites aim to keep season alive

MOSSLEY player-boss Steve Halford has urged his team to keep the Evo-Stik League Division One North play-off dream alive.
Results on Tuesday squeezed the Lilywhites out of the picture by two points, leaving anything other than a win at struggling Harrogate Railway Athletic tomorrow unthinkable.
Halford said: “A victory at Harrogate takes it to the last day of the season. That’s all I’m after.
“We’ve still got half a chance of getting back in there if we finish with two wins.”
Skelmersdale have already sealed the single automatic promotion spot, while tomorrow fifth-placed Ramsbottom host Trafford who are third.
Dropped points there will hopefully aid Mossley’s cause.
CHADDERTON will be hoping to extend their run of good form in the North-West Counties League First Division as they host Eccleshall.
Wednesday’s 5-2 win at Northwich Villa was their fourth game without defeat.
Chadderton wrap up their season next Tuesday at Irlam.
OLDHAM Boro were beaten by Formby 2-1 at home last night and now play their final North-West Counties League game of the season on Monday evening when they host rock-bottom Holker Old Boys.
