Boro end on a high

FOOTBALL; OLDHAM Boro brought the curtain down on their North-West Counties League First Division campaign last night with a gritty 1-0 home victory against second-bottom Holker Old Boys.
A Holker own goal just past the hour mark was all that came between the two sides.
Boro currently sit in seventh place in the table, though they could still be leapfrogged by Cheadle Town, who have one game to play.
CHADDERTON wrap their season up tonight with a trip to struggling Irlam.
Unbeaten in five games, a win for the Broadway outfit would probably seal an encouraging top-10 finish in the table.
