SNOOKER:
BLUE Club ‘B’ have been crowned Oldham Amateur Snooker League champions.
Needing one point to claim the title, they secured a 3-3 draw at Deaf Social, with the help of a break of 33 from D Smith in the final frame. Mick Webb’s 57 break was the highlight of the night as Moss Inn ‘B’ overpowered Three Cs ‘B’ 5-1 at home to secure fourth place.
North Chadd ‘B’, the 2011-12 champions, had to settle for second place. Danny Blacerzack’s break of 32 was the highlight as they beat hosts Chadderton Reform 5-1.
Alan Hopkinson’s break of 30 was good enough to clinch the final frame of Royton Band’s season as they brushed aside CBC 5-1.
