Professional cricketer Ben Dunk has been given clearance to play for Royton CC.
The hard-hitting Australian left-hander was expected to arrive for the start of the Lake Garage CLL season, but a hitch with his visa delayed his departure. He is expected to arrive today.
Royton have used three different professionals in their league fixtures this season.
Golcar pro Steve Whitwam deputised against Oldham, Steve Mullaney of Nottinghamshire stood in at Unsworth and Lancashire county player Luke Procter played against Ashton last Sunday.
With Crompton’s Michael Pote safely arrived from South Africa, all four local CLL clubs now have professionals in place.
