Angling: MARK Eaton-Dyke topped an impressive list of weights in the latest Cranberry AC match on Partridge Fisheries’ Pine Lake.
Using pellet and maggot tight across, he netted 48lb 6oz of f1s, beating his father Stephen Eaton-Dyke into second place with an identical approach and a 47lb 11oz catch.
THE Sycamore Fisheries open on David’s Lake again proved profitable for the Tri-Cast Highfield squad as they had two members in the top four.
Venue regular Tony Scoyles was the winner thanks to 28lb 12oz bag of carp.
He opted for pellet and corn across, before switching to seven metres and pellet for ide and crucians.
Anthony Marsden was second with 24lb 1oz of ide and skimmers taken on just his top two sections of pole and caster.
THE Tri-Cast Highfield squad has suffered in the early rounds of the Trent and Mersey Canal spring league, though erratic pegging hasn’t helped.
In the latest match the pegging was more sensible and the Tri-Cast lads took third place.
THERE were some superb weights in the Medlock Bridge AC Saturday open match on the park lake.
Mark Webb, of Saints, emerged victorious with 18lb 1oz of chub and skimmers on the pole and maggot.
Team-mate and travelling partner Steve Clegg was second with a similar net to the winner of 13lb 7oz. He also used the pole and maggot approach, with decent skimmers and chub.
