FOOTBALL: DEBUTANT Nathan Lamb scored a spectacular header deep into added time to win maximum points for Springhead in the Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Premier Division at Ashfield Crescent.
With the score at 1-1 as added time entered its third minute, 18-year-old Lamb - a third-team player at the start of this season - rose to meet a Johnny Pauley cross before planting a header into the top corner.
Paul Stevenson's 25-yard thunderbolt gave Springhead the lead at the midway point in the first-half, but Georgians levelled with two minutes of normal time remaining.
Then came the crucial match-winning goal from Lamb, playing in a debut to cherish.
McAllister's side still has a few league games to play, but the focus next week will be on the league's Gilgryst Cup final when Springhead take on Avro at Hyde United FC on Friday, May 10 (7.45pm).
