SWIMMING: SASCHA Kindred, the Oldham-born 12–time Paralympic medallist, has been selected to compete in the World Championships as a member of the British Gas GBR Disability Swimming Team.
The 35 year old will race in a sixth world championships.
“I am excited to be able to compete alongside some of the world’s best again,” said Sascha. “I didn’t have a great lead up to the trials and to achieve the time was a big relief.”
Kindred, who attended Kaskenmoor School, added: “The qualification in Great Britain is always tough because of the level that we are at so I am pleased to be named on the team.”
