RUGBY:
IT was unlucky 13 for lowly Saddleworth Rangers who felt the full force of East Leeds in a 70-0 defeat at Snake Pit Lane.
In the only game to go ahead in Division One of the National Conference League, Emmerson Jackman’s men conceded 13 tries.
Rangers were hindered by the dismissal of full-back Gavin Dodd for an alleged high tackle in the 29th minute, but there was only going to be one winner.
Rangers were only 10 points adrift as the match entered its second quarter, after which it all went wrong.
Kyle Quinlan, David Nurse, Joe Walkin, Ben Walkin, Jason Priestley, Dean Langton and Tom Sheldrake also bagged tries in what turned out to be a one-sided contest. Tom Sheldrake struck eight goals and Jason Priestley got the other.
