Saddleworth pair bag superb half-centuries

JOINT leaders Saddleworth and Greenfield both enjoyed comfortable victories in the latest round of games in the Saddleworth and District under-15s Cricket League.

Hosting Austerlands, Saddleworth saw James Howard and Jake Manton both make 50s in a total of 145 for one.

In reply Austerlands were dismissed for 30 as Zak Pemberton took three wickets for five runs.

Batting first, Greenfield reached 127 for six as Luke Rhodes made 38 and Tom Bradman 33.

Shaw resisted briefly but could only reach 56 for seven in their 16-over reply. The three other scheduled games were all washed out.
