RUGBY: WATERHEAD squeezed to a narrow victory at Stanley Rangers to consolidate their mid-table position in National Conference League Division One.
Andy Sands’ men had to do things the hard way in West Yorkshire, coming back from a half-time deficit to win 28-26 and seeing off a bottom side which has won only one game in nine.
In Division Two, Oldham St Anne’s enjoyed a good 28-20 victory at Eastmoor Dragons.
A strong start was responsible for the two points gained by Chris Deakin’s side, who went over three times in the opening 17 minutes through Simon Topping, Ryan Powell and Niall Collins to take control of proceedings.
