AFTER a frustrating Bank Holiday weekend — one defeat and an abandonment through rain — Delph skipper Grant Jones will no doubt have his side fired up for tomorrow’s clash in the Drakes Huddersfield League.
And they will need to be at their best as this weekend’s hosts Shepley are leading the way in the Premiership.
The Marsh Lane outfit are 12 points clear of fourth-placed Delph.
WOODHOUSES also face a table-top challenge in the Lancashire County League tomorrow.
They go to Denton West who, thanks to six wins from as many games, are looking down on their rivals.
It should be a good contest as Woodhouses’ record in the league so far this season reads five victories out of six, and they impressed in their recent defeat of Stand, which featured 77 not out from Nick Hardman.
