ROYTON must guard against complacency in their top-versus-bottom Lake Garage CLL clash against Ashton on Sunday.
The Paddock men lead the Championship from Werneth and will be taking on a side yet to register a win this season.
So it all points to a home win and a continuation of top spot for Denny Hulme and his men.
Second-placed Werneth face a tricky test at Monton and Weaste, who are particularly effective at their home venue.
Monton professional Paul Green has been in good nick with bat and ball this season, while the hosts boast an in-form talent in the shape of young opener Ben Chapman.
Crompton, bolstered by the signing of batsman Zafar Jatoi, have home advantage against Unsworth in their bid to retain, or even improve upon, their position in third.
Oldham, meanwhile, travel to Radcliffe looking to bounce back from Sunday’s heavy defeat at the hands of Crompton.
LEES Bitter Twenty20 action returns tonight when the local highlight is the clash of Werneth and Royton in the South-East section at the Coppice.
Both won their opening matches, so one of them is about to lose their unbeaten record.
Oldham will have high hopes of victory in the same section at ashton, while in the North-East group, Crompton face a tough test at Walsden.
