Ton-up pro stamps his authority

PROFESSIONAL Mohammed Zaman Khan was in sparkling form as Werneth beat Royton in the CLL Twenty20 competition derby at the Coppice on Friday night.
Khan smashed an unbeaten 104 in the home side's impressive 171 for six. His opposite number, Ben Dunk, took three for 13, while home skipper Matt Taylor hit 52.
Royton were dismissed for 112 – 59 runs shy of their target – despite Chris Hutchinson's top score of 35.
In the same group, Oldham boosted their chances of progression to the knock-out stage when they overcame Ashton by six wickets at Rayner Lane.
The hosts were restricted to 103 for six, a total Oldham passed for the loss of four wickets thanks to Ashraf's knock of 48.
Crompton were blown away by Walsden, who needed just 18 overs in the whole game to polish off Carl Taylor's side.
Crompton took first guard and were bowled out for a meagre 50 as Jamie Shackleton collected three for 23.
Walsden replied with 55 for one off six overs, with Josh Gale hitting a rapid 35.
