RUGBY:
RUGBY League fans in the town will have the opportunity to view the Rugby League World Cup when the RFL Road Show arrives at Oldham St Anne’s tomorrow.
The trophy will be on show from 6pm and is being used to promote the World Cup, which takes place in Britain during the autumn.
Fourteen nations are gunning for glory, including holders New Zealand who upset all the odds by winning the competition Down Under in 2008.
The action gets under way on October 26 with England playing Australia at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Old Trafford stages the final on November 30.
