Ace Mather heads to Chorley

FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY have lost star midfielder Adam Mather to Evo-Stik Premier League outfit Chorley.
Mather joined the Lilywhites at the start of last season after a brief stay at Curzon Ashton.
He quickly became a fan favourites thanks to some livewire performances. By the end of the season he was Mossley's third-highest scorer with 14 goals from 42 appearances.
He is set to make a swift return to his former club as Chorley play a pre-season friendly at Seel Park on Saturday, August 10.
So far the Lilywhites have seven summer fixtures booked. On July 15 they will make the short journey to Chadderton, before Steve Halford’s side entertains neighbours Glossop North End on July 17.
On July 20 Mossley will visit Bacup and Rossendale Boro (3pm), then on July 23 they will play host to Welsh Premier League side Airbus UK Broughton (7.45 pm).
On July 30 Lilywhites welcome old rivals and current Conference North club Altrincham to Seel Park (7.45 pm).
Mossley will then look to retain the Willow Wood Hospice Charity Cup when they face Ashton United at Seel Park on Saturday, August 3, before the Chorley game follows a week later (both 3pm).
