Runs flowed in Delph's superb Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership victory at Barkisland.
Batting first, newly-promoted Barkisland clocked up an impressive 267 for five as overseas amateur Lorenzo Ingham smashed 124 not out and Jamie Summerscales a well-constructed 90.
But Grant Jones's men weren’t to be outdone, replying with a match-winning 270 for three, Faisal Butt hitting an unbeaten 133, with Graeme Simpson adding 50 not out and Arron Lilley 46.
IT was a similar tale at Woodhouses, where almost 600 runs were scored in the hosts' excellent Lees Brewery Lancashire County League win against Stretford.
Stretford racked up an imposing 277 for seven, with Adam Hewitt the chief run scorer on a fine 110.
But the hosts were in equally determined mood with the bat, making 278 for four points.
Nick Doyle hit 112 for Woodhouses, while David Garner added 69 not out.
