ROYTON have joined Werneth in the quarter-finals of the Lees Bitter Twenty20 Competition after beating Oldham in a winner-takes-all South-East Group match at the Pollards.
Both sides had won one group game.
Oldham took first guard and made 145 for five thanks to professional Saddique Mohammed's unbeaten 50.
But Royton passed that total as their own paid man, Ben Dunk, led the way with 50.
Werneth were already through to the last eight, but emphasised their group dominance with a 128-run rout of Ashton at the Coppice.
Professional Mohammed Zaman Khan smashed 99 as Werneth raced to 211 for four.
And Mehmood Ul-Hassan (three for 19) and Rash Khan (three for 21) did the damage as Ashton were dimissed for 83.
Crompton, already eliminated, went down by 20 runs at Milnrow.
The hosts made 177 for seven and Crompton 157 for five.
