BROOKDALE were the big movers of the week as they went to the top of the ‘A’ League West Division in the Oldham and District League thanks to a 6-2 home win over Crompton and Royton.
They took full advantage of leaders Blackley being pegged back through a 7-1 defeat at Werneth.
The ‘A’ League East Division is proving tight with more matches drawn so far than won and lost and Stamford held on to top spot despite being held at home by Denton.
In the ‘B’ divisions, Stamford made it four wins from four to romp clear in the East thanks to a stunning 8-0 win at Denton while early West pacesetters Werneth were knocked off the top after losing 7-1 at Blackley.
North moved into contention after an 8-0 home success over Castle Hawk, who are still looking for their first victory of the season.
