BLACKLEY have hit double top at the half-way stage in the Oldham and District League as they lead in both the ‘A’ and ‘B’ West divisions.
The ‘A’ team registered a 7-1 win over Brookdale to go back to the top at the expense of their visitors while the ‘B team claimed three points in a 5-3 defeat at the Woodhouses course to share the lead with North Manchester.
Werneth are Blackley’s nearest challengers in the ‘A’ division as they beat Oldham 7-1.
Ashton have yet to be beaten with two wins and three draws in the ‘A’ League East and beat Denton 8-0.
And the best record in whole the league is held by Stamford in the ‘B’ East having won all five matches — the latest a 6-2 home victory over Fairfield.
