MOORSIDE will have first go at dislodging the Bamford Fieldhouse openers on Saturday.
Professional Grant Hodnett and Josh Tolley have clocked up three games and more than 500 runs without either losing their wicket.
The red-hot duo will hope to inflict more misery on the bowlers this weekend.
Bamford are in action at home to Moorside in the Saddleworth and District Cricket League while Chorley, one of Tolley’s former clubs, are their opponents away from home in the regional final of the ECB Cup on Sunday.
Bamford chairman Andy Barton said: “It is absolutely unbelievable what they have done — they have been a pleasure to watch. Our number three has spent the last three matches with his pads on - he’s getting a bit fed up.”
