SADDLEWORTH’S Kyle Hogg claimed career–best figures of seven for 27 as Lancashire picked up where they left off against Essex last week by bowling out LV= County Championship Division Two leaders Northamptonshire for 62 at Old Trafford yesterday.
After skittling Essex for a record–low 20 at Chelmsford, Red Rose duo Hogg and Glen Chapple bowled all 29.5 overs as they ripped through Northants on day one of their clash.
The visitors hit back as the wickets continued to tumble, with Lancashire reduced to 121 for eight in reply when bad light forced play to be abandoned with 15.3 overs left.
