DELPH bounced back from the disappointment of an exit from the Sykes Cup by crushing Skelmanthorpe in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership.
Grant Jones’s man cruised to a huge 181-run victory against the struggling visitors, with Kevin Hook taking the majority of the plaudits.
As Delph took first knock, professional Hook smashed 17 fours and couple of sixes in a superb innings of 102 as the hosts racked up a sizeable 278 for eight.
Irfan Zahoor chipped in with 69 to leave Skelmanthorpe facing an uphill task in their reply.
WOODHOUSES were tormented by Matt Micklethwaite as they fell to defeat at Thornham on Saturday in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League.
Another defeat yesterday, this time at struggling Flowery Field, completed a miserable weekend for Woodhouses, who dropped to fifth place in the league table.
