CRICKET: HEYSIDE start the defence of their Twenty20 crown on Sunday — less than two months after winning it.
Finals day from 2012 was held over until May because of rain, and under glorious blue skies at Micklehurst’s Castle Lane club Heyside beat Hollinwood in the final.
The holders start with a home tie against Uppermill while Hollinwood, who in Kashif Khan boast one of the biggest amateur hitters in the Saddleworth and District League, play host to Glodwick.
