NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: AFTER four weeks of pre-season training, Chadderton are back in action tomorrow.
With new manager Steve Patterson at the helm, Chadderton will kick-off their friendly campaign with a potentially tough trip to Evo-Stik Leaguers Lancaster City.
“I’d much rather play pre-season games against loftier opponents – you can get a much better idea of where you’re at,” said Patterson.
“Training has been good, we’ve taken on four new lads and Matt Russell and Joe Jacobs have returned from spells away.”
Tomorrow’s game at the Giant Axe kicks-off at 3pm.
Lancaster are currently managed by former Newcastle United and QPR central-defender Darren Peacock.
OLDHAM Boro get their pre-season fixtures off and running tomorrow with a match at locally-based Manchester League side Santos (2pm kick-off).
MOSSLEY kick-off their warm-up games with a trip to Chadderton on Monday (7.30pm kick-off).
