CRICKET: DELPH will be confident of keeping their Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership title hopes alive tomorrow when they head over to rock-bottom Marsden.
Grant Jones’s in-form team remain handily placed in fifth in the table following last Saturday’s thumping 78-run victory against Shelley.
Delph followed that up by crushing Clayton West on Tuesday night in the All Rounder Twenty20 competition quarter-finals.
Marsden, meanwhile, have won just once so far this season and fell to a heavy defeat against Elland last weekend.
Tomorrow’s match gets under way at 1.30pm.
WOODHOUSES are also in fifth place in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League standings, and will be hopeful going into tomorrow’s home clash against Cheetham Hill (1pm start).
Last weekend Woodhouses bagged a morale-boosting eight-wicket win at Glossop, while Cheetham Hill were slipping to a comprehensive reverse at Woodbank.
