Take two as Tracey wins at Werneth

GOLF:
FRESH from her success in the President’s Salver at Crompton and Royton, Tracey Rowbotham won Lady Captain’s Day at Werneth.
Tracey fired rounds of 103-34-69 and 104-33-71 for a 140 total and a three shot victory.
Stephanie Cox was the runner-up on a card play-off. She opened up with a round of 107-36-71 before returning 109-36-73.
At BROOKDALE, Vicky Akin won Mr Captain’s prize on a card play-off thanks to a round of 84-16-68, from lady captain Kath Storey (95-16-68).
Audrey Whittaker returned 97-24-73 to clinch CROMPTON and ROYTON’S Centenary Trophy on a card play-off, from Joanne Redford (94-21-73).
And at OLDHAM, Bev Mercer recorded 36 points to bag the Lady President’s prize.
Mary Buckley, with 35 points, secured runners-up spot on a card play-off from Jill Nolan and Anne Rotchell.
