MIKE Cassidy scored a superb 115 not out for Woodhouses on Saturday, but they still lost by five wickets at home against Denton in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League.
The visitors replied to Woodhouses’ very respectable 232 for three, with an equally impressive 234 for five. Karl Taylor struck 56 not out for the victors.
Yesterday, the heavy showers won the day at Woodhouses’ scheduled clash at Roe Green.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat, but had only reached six without loss when the players were met with a deluge and the match was abandoned shortly after.
