RUGBY: SADDLEWORTH Rangers will be hoping to build on their potentially-priceless victory against Hunslet Warriors when they return to National Conference League Division One action tomorrow.
Last weekend’s 23-16 win was recently-appointed Shane Tupaea’s first as Rangers coach, and
tomorrow the former Roughyeds ace will be full of confidence as his side head to Bradford Dudley Hill.
Dudley Hill sit comfortably in mid-table, but were well beaten at Millom last time out.
Second-bottom Rangers remain desperate for points in the battle to avoid the drop.
Also in Division One, WATERHEAD are back in action after a weekend off when they host mid-table Rochdale Mayfield in what promises to be a tasty local derby.
Mayfield edged to a 22-16 victory against East Leeds in their last fixture.
In NCL Division Two, fourth-bottom OLDHAM ST ANNE’S have a crucial home fixture against a struggling Eastmoor Dragons side who are placed just one off the league basement.
Meanwhile, in Division Four of the North West Men’s League, there’s a battle between two mid-table sides as FITTON HILL BULLDOGS – who thumped Chester Gladiators 30-6 last weekend – host Little Hulton Reds.
All the above matches start at 2.30pm.
