Major test for Saints
Date published: 16 August 2013
RUGBY: OLDHAM St Anne’s face a stiff test at high-flying Elland tomorrow in Division Two of the National Conference League.
Saints went down 26-10 at Shaw Cross Sharks last weekend. The mid-table Higginshaw Road outfit has only won one of its last seven games.
Elland currently sit third, well placed for one of the promotion slots.
A ray of hope for St Anne’s comes with the news that Elland have lost their last two games, at Leigh East and at Normanton.
In the North-West Men’s League Division Four, Fitton Hill Bulldogs travel to take on Mancunians tomorrow.
The sixth-placed Bulldogs will take on a second-from-bottom home team who have won only twice all season and were thumped 102-12 last weekend by Bury Broncos. Both games kick-off at 2.30pm.
