CRICKET: BARRING a miracle, Delph's hopes of winning the Drakes Huddersfield League Premier Division title are over for another season.
But skipper Grant Jones and his side will be determined to put in a strong finish over the remaining five games, starting with this weekend's double-header.
Delph are third in the table, 23 points adrift of leaders Shepley.
First up is a trip to fourth-bottom Hall Bower and they are on their travels again on Sunday when they go to sixth-placed Golcar.
Delph claimed two points last weekend when their clash with Shepley was rained off with the pacesetters 231 for two from 40 overs.Marches start at 1pm.
WOODHOUSES will look to end a barren spell at home to mid-table rivals Dukinfield in the Lancashire County League tomorrow (12.30pm).
The Medlock Road outfit are without a win in their last six games, two of which were rained off.
The poor run of form has seen Woodhouses slip to eighth place, just above Dukinfield.
