Non-League football: BACK-to-back wins in Division One of the Vodkat North-West Counties League have put Chadderton in good heart for tomorrow's visit of Atherton LR.

New joint managers Steve Patterson and Mark Cook got off the mark with an excellent 1-0 victory over early leaders Daisy Hill and followed up in midweek thanks to a hard-earned 3-2 success at Northwich Flixton Villa. Danny Hudson scored in both games.

With home advantage, Chadderton will be eager to stretch their mini unbeaten run to three games against a side who are one place below them in ninth.

OLDHAM BORO manager Tony Mills will be hoping for a quick response from his side when they make the short journey to play Ashton Town.
The hosts are two points better off than Boro in 10th place.

MOSSLEY’S record so far this season in Evo-Stik League Division One North reads a defeat and a draw.
Joint managers Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison would like to add a win to that sequence at Ossett Town tomorrow.

The duo were disappointed with their team's efforts in the 3-1 opening-day defeat at home to Kendal Town, but will have taken some encouragement from the 1-1 draw at Wakefield on Tuesday.

The Lilywhites had enough chances to win the game comfortably in West Yorkshire after fielding a starting XI which saw four players make their full debuts for the club – Charlie Weir, Dougie Carroll, Brain Matthews and Lewis Nightingale.

Nightingale, who made many surging runs from midfield, scored Mossley's equaliser on the stroke of half-time.
