Springhead are top notch

LEADERS Springhead completed their Lynx Sportswear North Manchester League Division Three campaign with a thumping victory over Failsworth Macedonia seconds.

Taking first knock, the Cooper Street side notched a commanding 273. In reply, Macedonia were skittled for a meagre 67.

Rochdale and Royton third teams are neck-and-neck at the top of Division Two.

In their latest encounter, Royton were bowled out for 125, before they dismissed opponents Clifton thirds for 85.

At the other end of the runs spectrum, Blackley’s second string amassed 350 for seven against Greenfield thirds, who replied with 233 for nine in the Division Four clash.
