NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
OLDHAM Boro slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Atherton Collieries last night in their latest North-West Counties League First Division clash.
Despite going into the fixture on the back of an impressive FA Carlsberg Vase preliminary round victory at the weekend, Boro found themselves 3-0 down at half-time.
A strike early in the second half from Lee Knowles gave Tony Mills’ side hope, but the score remained 3-1.
MOSSLEY again go in search of a first victory of the season tonight as they host Clitheroe in their latest Evo-Stik Division One North fixture.
Joint-bosses Peter Band and Lloyd Morrison will face selection headaches, however.
Defender Kyle McGonigle is out after being sent-off in Saturday’s 3-3 draw at Radcliffe Borough, while strike pairing Sam Madeley and Lewis Nightingale both limped out of the same game at Stainton Park and are doubtful for tonight. The match at Seel Park kicks-off at 7.45pm.
