ANGLING: STEVE Hall kept up his amazing run with yet another win in the latest Diggle AC match fished on Tanners Dam where he caught carp and silvers on his favoured chopped worm and caster method, finishing the match with 49lb 11oz.

Second was Dave Machin (Fibrecare) with pellet and paste fished at various lengths on the pole catching him 38lb 2oz.


CHRIS Lett won the latest Todmorden AS match on Townhouse where he fished chopped worm and caster on the pole, netting himself 24lb 4oz of ide, skimmers, roach and the odd small carp.
Pete Mottram was second with his waggler and pellet approach working well for him as he put 22lb 3oz of carp onto the scales, beating Graham Mallinson into third with 20lb 10oz of carp taken on meat fished on the deck.


SADAS members note that Sunday’s match on Eagle Mill Dam has been put back until Sunday week, September 22.

SATURDAY’S Old Hough Farm Fishery open match saw several local anglers make the frame.
Bob Asher won with 39lb 12oz of skimmers, ide and tench, beating Ken Potts into second with 34lb 4oz of silvers. In the other match on Prospect Lake, Pete Clements took first with 33lb 6oz, just easing Paul Wright into second with a 29lb 12oz catch.


DEREK Bowers (Maver North West) won the Sunday open fished on the Boarshaw length of the Rochdale Canal with 6lb 9oz of small skimmers and roach.
