Luckless Legends hit by goal blitz

FOOTBALL: ASH Ainsworth and Matt Barlow both scored twice as Famous King George beat Legends Athletic 7-3 in the Oldham Sunday League Premier Division.
Chris Simpson, Daniel Jackson and Peter Jackson also netted for King George, while even a hat trick from Bobby Fulham wasn’t nearly enough for Legends.
Niall Sultan scored twice as Failsworth Athletic won 4-2 at Fitton Hill. Levi Morris and Danny Allot also notched for Athletic, with C Franklin and D Hodge replying for Fitton Hill.
Walsh’s hat-trick was enough to seal a 3-2 win for Jolly Carter against Crompton House Old Boys, for whom O’Connell and Wooliscroft scored.
In division one, Mohammed Uddin baged a treble in Westwood FC’s 7-3 success at Dog and Partridge. Nurez Zaman (two), Moklisur Rahman and Abdul Hannan also scored for Westwood, as they bettered goals from Peter Darneruh, Richard Mills and Jamie Clarke.
Tony Lloyd (two), Aaron Turner and Daniel Fitzhugh scored as Carrion Crow triumphed 4-2 at FC Dynamos. Luke Mack and Kieron Platt replied.
M King (two) and T Siwka handed Oldham GPO a 3-2 win against Springhead Libs ‘A’, for whom M Garside and K Farrell netted.
Rifle Range ‘B’ had N Barker (two), Daniel Brown and Sammy Leigh on the mark in a 4-1 win against Kenyon FC. M Cooper replied.
All Stars and Springhead Libs ‘B’ shared a 2-2 draw in Martin Buckley Division Two. Azad Miah scored twice for All Stars, while Jordan Hamilton did likewise for the visitors.
Chadderton, Lawrence, Hurst, Lambert and Bradshaw scored as Trap Inn won 5-3 at Manchester Swifts, for whom Burgoyne, Ryan and Boland replied.
Royton Athletic won 3-1 at Summit FC as Jason Westwood, Danny Oatway and Steve Palfreyman notched for the visitors. Sean Hill replied.
Brad Scholes scored both goals for White Hart in a 2-2 draw against Oldham Tigers.
Abdul Raqib and Josh Tindall scored for the Tigers.
Dale Johns was Alt Athletic’s hero as he scored all three goals in a 3-2 win against Blue Club. Adam Ruddock and Tom Greenwood replied.
The Dog also won 3-2, at Cartshaft, with M Whyatt, J Fieldhouse and R Knox on target. E Aspin and M Crothers scored for Cartshaft.
Tom Sellars and John Ryder both bagged braces in Crompton Victoria’s 5-2 win at Limeside FC. Robert Murphy was also on target, with Tom Evans scoring both goals for Limeside.
Michael Murphy, Luis Fitton and Anthony Hart registered in Oldham FC’s 3-0 win at White House.
