BIG-MATCH CHALLENGE . . . for Mossley joint managers Peter Band (left) and Lloyd Morrison.
NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY joint-manager Peter Band hopes the big-match atmosphere tomorrow will lift his players towards a first victory of the season.
The Lilywhites, who have drawn four and lost two so far this term, head to new club Darlington 1883, where a crowd of up to 1,500 awaits.
Darlington started their season well and are fourth, but Band isn’t daunted.
He said: “It can go either way for you when there’s a big crowd in for a game.”
Band has a near full-strength squad for the long trip to Darlington. Only Sam Madeley (knee) and Lewis Nightingale (ankle) have been ruled out through injury.
CHADDERTON and OLDHAM BORO face tough tasks in the North-West Counties League First Division.
Boro, who followed last weekend’s excellent FA Carlsberg Vase victory over 1874 Northwich with a 3-1 league defeat at Atherton Collieries on Monday, travel to league leaders Nelson tomorrow.
Chadderton – whose 3-1 win at Eccleshall last time out lifted them to seventh place – host new club 1874 Northwich tomorrow.
