CRICKET: WITH an eighth title safely tucked away, Bamford Fieldhouse complete their Versasteel Saddleworth and District Cricket League campaign at home to Micklehurst tomorrow (1pm).
The game, due to be played on September 1, was rearranged due to the Hollin Lane outfit’s participation in the last four of the LCB Cup.
The regular season was wrapped up last weekend.
The LCB Cup takes centre stage on Sunday as holders Bamford play Northern CC, from the Liverpool Competition, in the final at Old Trafford (11am).
Having so far been unsuccessful in their quest to be accepted into a new competition in 2014, this could conceivably be the Bamford club’s last-ever game.
The club was thrown out of the Saddleworth League for disobeying rules.
