Wheelchair Basketball: Oldham Owls wheelchair basketball teams enjoyed title-winning success last season.
All three of the teams who compete in the GB Leagues – the GB Super League, the First Division North and the Third Division North – won their respective divisions after going through their campaigns unbeaten.
The second team won promotion from Division Three.
The Owls Super League team have once again competed in the Euro League where, despite being the only British to progress to the 2013 finals, they just missed out on the medal podium.
The Owls were also proud to see 12 players from past and present represent Great Britain at last year’s Paralympic Games.
Last season’s results were seen as a fitting tribute to founder member David Foden, who passed away earlier this year.
The club is set to celebrate their 40th anniversary in October, 2014, and will be organising fund-raisers and social events to recognise this.
