RUGBY: TIME is running out fast for Saddleworth Rangers in Division One of the National Conference League.
With four games to go, the next against Rochdale Mayfield on Saturday, Shane Tupaea’s men sit second-bottom, four points adrift of Waterhead.
Rangers’ latest setback came at Oulton Raiders, who eased to a 42-12 win. The contest was as good as over at the break, with the promotion-hopefuls building an 18-0 lead.
Rangers were on the back foot in the early stages of the second half as Raiders emerged with all guns blazing.
WATERHEAD’S struggles continued at Bradford Dudley Hill, who marched to an emphatic 56-12 success.
One again, the hosts had the points by half-time — 38-12 in front. Relegation-threatened Waterhead found themselves almost constantly under pressure.
Mick Whaley’s side broke out to record tries from Alex Jobson and Dale Lowe, but they were token efforts
