Delph finish season in style

CRICKET: FOR the second season running Delph finished in fifth place in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership table — while the club’s second team won promotion.
Grant Jones’s men convincingly beat Honley by 92 runs, but wins also for Hoylandswaine and Elland meant Delph finished outside of the top four.
Delph batted first and made 234 all out. Arron Lilley struck 69, Faisal Butt 59 and Graeme Simpson 51 stuttered In reply Honley stuttered to 142 all out.
Delph’s second team's final-day victory over Hall Bower meant they leapfrogged their opponents into second place, winning promotion to the Huddersfield League Premiership Two.
WOODHOUSES were comprehensively beaten at home by Glossop on the final day of the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League campaign.
