NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: DESPERATE for a morale-boosting first victory of the season, Mossley are back in action tonight against Padiham in the Doodson Cup preliminary round.

The Lilywhites slumped into the relegation zone on Saturday when they were thumped 4-0 at 1883 Darlington.

North-West Counties League sides Chadderton and Oldham Boro are both on their travels tonight in the Manchester Premier Cup first round.

Chadderton travel to divisional rivals Irlam, while Boro head to top flight Glossop North End.

All games kick-off at 7.45pm.
