ANGLING:
STEVE Hall continued what has become an amazing season with another win in the Medlock Bridge AC Open match on the Park Lake.
Hall drew flyer peg eight and made no mistake, winning with 23lb of skimmers and chub taken on chopped worm and caster.
Billy Brierley was second with his maggot approach helping him catch 17lb 10oz of
silvers from next peg seven.
TODMORDEN AS have scheduled their annual meeting for November 13, starting at 7.30pm.
All 2013 members are welcome. All committee posts are vacant and interested parties should attend.
The match meeting takes place on Wednesday, November 6, with an 8pm start. All next year’s matches, venues and rule changes will be discussed.
SADAS ran their latest members-only match on Eagle Mill Dam.
Despite lovely weather conditions the venue fished terribly. Simon Castle needed just 6lb of skimmers and roach taken on pole-fished caster to net his second victory on the bounce at the venue. Malc Taylor took second place, with pole and caster tempting a decent bream as well as some roach that together weighed 5lb 14oz.
