Non-league football:

FREE-scoring Mossley will be confident of maintaining their recent surge in form tomorrow when they head to mid-table Harrogate Railway Athletic in Evo-Stik Division One North.

Lilywhites have scored 12 goals in winning their last three games - a huge relief for joint-manager Peter Band, whose team endured a stuttering start to the season.

Band said: “We’re starting to look a lot more threatening.”

Lewis Nightingale, Kyle McGonigle and Dougie Carroll are unavailable for tomorrow’s trip to Yorkshire, but front men Mark Haslam and Sam Madeley return.

Meanwhile, Band has swooped to sign central midfielder Simon Gallanders from Trafford.

Two out-of-favour strikers have left Seel Park. Brian Matthews has joined Salford City, while Charlie Weir has gone to work in London.

CHADDERTON need a big response tomorrow when they host Irlam in the North-West Counties League Division One.

The Broadway outfit was humbled 7-1 on its own patch by Nelson in midweek.

Joint-boss Mark Cook said: “I’m not going to make any excuses, we were beaten fair and square by Nelson. But if we can get a win tomorrow we could be back in the top six; then Tuesday will be forgotten about.”

Striker Clive Best – who has been among the goals lately – is unavailable tomorrow, while John Rogers is rated as 50-50 as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury. Dave Glynn is definitely out.

OLDHAM BORO could also do with a victory fillip as they welcome mid-table Holker Old Boys.

Tony Mills’s men lost 4-1 at previously rock-bottom Rochdale Town on Tuesday.

All the above games kick-off at 3pm.
